Two 'Ancient Sands' vases by ceramic artist Tony Evans of California selling together. Good scale, signed and numbered, free of chips or cracks, just light signs of age/handling. Abstract forms with incredible glaze work, these are direct from a local estate and you get them both. Please study photos, see condition report and send any questions you may have.Larger vase is 12 3/4" tall, about 11" wide, 7 1/2" deep.Other vase is 6 1/8" tall, 7 1/2" wide, 5" ...deep.
Very good condition, make a wonderful appearance. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, no damage to the pottery. Generally the glaze looks quite nice. There are light signs of age or handling showing in the delicate raku portions. Light scuffs or rubs, some very minor glaze loss in a few places, minor edge or corner wear. Took several close ups to illustrate, the irregular style of this glaze is rather forgiving but please note these surface imperfections. On the shelf, from a reasonable distance they are quite subtle. See photos for the best description and send any questions you might have.
