A beautiful Matched Pair of Art Deco slip shade wall lights (Sconce), circa 1930, Manufactured & sold (most probably) by Mid-West Lighting, but possibly designed and/or crafted by the Cincinnati Artistic Brass Works. Mid-West was a top-of-the-line manufacturer who, in their beginning, only cast solid bronze lights that were exceedingly difficult due to their reticulated surfaces. Casting reticulations is very difficult. Casting material doesn't feed a reticulated casting fully unless t...he gating is extremely accurate, and the skill very precise. The fixtures are solid cast bronze with attached back plates (for access to wiring & sockets - which is up to buyer to replace or not) with intricate open lattice work on the sides that cast beautiful shadows. The sconces are appx. 15 1/8" tall, 6 3/4" wide, and project 5 1/8" from the wall. The shades for this beauty is about as rare as the sconce. It’s the amber crackle glass picture shown.
