Item 4773. Vintage Rare J.B. Owens Art Pottery Tri-Blended Glaze Iris Pattern Umbrella Stand. The piece is in good condition. There are no chips. There is some crazing of the glaze on both the inside and outside of the piece. Unfortunately it does have a crack running up from the bottom about two thirds up the side and about 1/2 way across the bottom. If you look closely at the attached photos, you can see the crack. It also has a few glaze voids, these are not flakes t...hat have popped out. They are actual manufacturing glaze voids. The piece is still fairly solid. This is a hard to find item. The piece stands 22 1/2" tall and measures 11 1/2" across the outside of the top rim. According to the info I have received it was produced by the J.B.Owens Pottery Co. in Zanesville, Ohio. Owens only made art pottery from 1896 to 1907. Please view all the photos very carefully as this is the best way to describe the piece. Because of the rarity and the piece condition I will be listing this piece as Local Pick Up.
