Offered here is a RARE and early Dedham Pottery 8.5" plate in the CRAB pattern. It has especially nice detail, great color and uniform crackle. The crab itself in incised into the plate and then painted. There a two tiny flat flakes on the rim with a 1" very faint line and a pinpoint glaze pop in one of the waves. These flaws are so minor that I listed the plate Sunday without realizing them. An observant buyer pointed them out. The bottom has the pre-1929 blue stamp and a single incis...ed rabbit. Big drop in price to reflect these issues but satisfaction guaranteed!! This is a very nice and rare plate.
