Offered for sale is this entirely hand painted antique Saxe Dresden porcelain cup and saucer with a Fragonard Love Story courting couple. It is all hand painted, including the portrait and the floral cartouches. This cup and saucer was imported into the US by Charles Ahrenfeldt, the importer of German and Austrian porcelain, between 1888 and 1910. I have similar cup and saucer in green listed separately and I discount combined shipping. Please excuse the reflections in the pictures....
The saucer is approximately 5.75 inches diameter. The cup is just over 4 inches diameter excluding the handle.
It is in excellent condition. There are no chips, no cracks, no restoration. There are a few tiny touches of wear to the decoration. Please see the close up pictures.
