*Vintage 1950's baby doll christening gown, peignoir or negligee*Sheer nylon*Wide fancy lace flounce*Eyelets for woven ribbon
Presented here is a beautiful vintage 1950's baby doll christening gown, peignoir or negligee. This is made of a sheer flowing nylon, it is off-white or ivory color. It is made with a lace bodice in the front, sweet Peter Pan collar with lace edge. Cute short puff sleeves with full gathers and bound cuffs. The skirt gathers under the high waist with a l...ong sweeping flow to a lovely 5 1/2" wide lace flounce. The lace is very fine and intricate, scalloped hem, it has three rows of eyelets that can be woven with ribbons. The original rayon bows with long streamers are still attached at the waist, Closes in the back with two square snaps. Very well made and finished inside and out. Measures; 26" long from shoulder to hem, under arms 17" around, shoulders 7" across seams, sleeves 3 1/4" from shoulder seam, sweep at hem 68". Excellent vintage condition, clean, sturdy, no stains, no tears. Fabulous original 1950's vintage piece! Shown here on a 20" doll, the listing is for the gown only.
