ANTIQUE FIRST EDITION 1915 GLORIOUS BATTLES OF ENGLISH HISTORY by MAJOR C.H. WYLLY (1915) HBThis listing is for the rare antique first edition hardback book Glorious Battles of English History by Major C.H. Wylly with a foreword by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Published in 1915 by Raphael Tuck and Sons Ltd, this book contains 162 with many illustrations by Harry Payne.This book is in a very good condition, especially considering it is over 100 years old. The front board has some slight... indentations but is otherwise in a very good condition. The backboard has a circular water stain on it. The cloth spine has some creasing and a 5mm rear on one edge. The pages are crisp, clean and secure with no marks or damage, although there is some aging due to the age of the paper. The inside front and back papers have spotting and foxing. Inside the front cover there is a dedication written in ink that says "To Harold with love from Elsie Dec 1915"Please note the photographs are of the actual book for sale.P&P is free within the UK via Royal Mail 2nd Class.PLEASE NOTE: I am a private seller and we are a pet household so very rarely an item I list could possibly have a stray animal hair on it.
