Attached are photos of an EARLY applique doll quilt (21" x 21") from the 19th century. It was hand appliqued with treadle machine diagonal quilting. There is also machine stitching within and surrounding each piece. The diagonal stitching lines in the border run as close as 1/4". This was executed by an experienced quilter. All is original.
There is one worn patch on the front, as well as a small break in three corners on the back. The small stain in photo 2 contains a tiny pin... pricked size hole. Please note that there is discoloration. The photos are a good representation.
