GENERAL Charles Chuck Yeager YEAGER Bronze Medallion.This auction is for a bronze medallion, minted by the US government in 1975 in a limited edition, and presented by President Gerald Ford to Gen. Charles "Chuck" Yeager. The award from the Congress commemorated the world's first supersonic flight, which Yeager had undertaken in a solo flight aboard the Bell XS-1 on December 23, 1947.
