Rare Antique 1910s 1920s Art Deco Beaded Corsage Stage Costume Brooch Pin Floral

A Stunning and Incredibly Rare Antique Corsage Brooch.
This likely dates to the 1920s but could possibly be earlier, perhaps the 1910s, with its brooch fastening featuring delicate patterns evocative of the Art Nouveau Movement.
When this came into my possession I was advised that it had once been part of a show girl's costume - what a life it must have once led, the stories it could tell!
It is a truly beautiful and unique piece.
Fashioned as a corsage, a fancy... bouquet of flora, the brooch is both delicate and eye catching with frosted flowers, pearl beads, sprawling wires with tiny white glass seed beads, hand shaped leaves and flowers and intricate bead work creating a feast for the senses.
Because of the way this has been skillfully crafted, with a deft use of wires, the piece moves beautifully with movement, the flowers and the sprawling beaded branches lightly swaying as their natural counterparts would with the wind.
To the reverse an intricately decorated brooch pin has been securely fastened to the piece with yet more wire. It has a C clasp fastening, popular in the period and is long enough to keep this rather large brooch in place on any hat, dress or coat which it adorns.
Approximate Measurements:
Depth of the piece - 4cm.
Brooch pin fastening - 4.8cm wide.
Brooch centerpiece - 4.5 cm by 8.5 cm.
Brooch centerpiece with sprawling beaded branches included - 8.3 cm by 11.5 cm.
This is a brooch which has been worn and loved. It is also a piece which is at least 100 years old. It has stood the test of time beautifully and is full of charm and beauty, but it also shows its age and comes to you as a worn, antique piece in great vintage condition but with signs of age and wear, as you would expect of a true antique piece.
Some of the sugar frosting has been worn away in a few areas of some elements, the colours have faded as you would expect (leaving I think a lovely palette of subdued warm tones), one of the pearl centered flowers appears to have lost a petal - the glass beads having disappeared long ago and it is overall quite delicate and fragile in places.
Nevertheless, it is still a stunning and rare example which has years of joy to give to one lucky vintage lover and these minor details do not detract from this lovely brooch but rather are a sign of its long life and authenticity as a genuine antique item which has been loved and worn and cherished.
