Original Description:
Here's an oil or kerosene-fired SIGNAL LANTERN that was made during WW2 by England's Ministry of Supply.  It stands 10.5" tall, plus the bail handle and is made of tin that was painted OD Green.  There's a little oil burner in the hinged base that provides the light through shielded red glass panels on all 4 sides.  One of the sides has a small disc that swivels open to allow a small amount of light out, I'm sure for some purpose.  Condition is UNFIRED and Near Mint....  Only some light scratches and scuffs from being handled and stored for the last 60+ years. A very nice example. Guaranteed to please the new owner or I'll buy it back.  Check my Feedback.
