c1770 ANTIQUE 18thC GEORGIAN GEORGE III TALL ALE GLASS, SPIRAL OPAQUE TWIST STEM
Description:
An antique Georgian ale drinking glass of large proportions, dating to the late 18th Century, circa 1770.
The hand blown glass has a plain elongated round funnel bowl, leading to an opaque twist stem with a 12-ply spiral band outside two pairs of spiral strands, standing on a wide conical foot with polished pontil. 

Dimensions:
Height: 19 cm or 7 1/2 inches...>Width at bowl rim: 5.5 cm or 2 1/8 inches
Width at foot: 7.5 cm or 2 15/16 inches
Weight: 186 grams

Condition:
In good antique condition, without damage or restoration, only expected age related wear mainly to the very edge of the foot rim, and some manufacturing inclusions and horizontal striations within the bowl. Please see the images provided which complement this description.
