Rolex Date 1500 Oyster Perpetual Chronometer Vintage Watch Sigma Dial
Item History & Price
I purchased this watch in January 2018, pre-owned and in very good vintage condition, from Crown & Caliber (online). See the last photo for the description of this exact watch when I bought it. If you are familiar with “safe” online luxury watch-buying practices, you may know that C&C is just about as secure as it gets, aside of buying in-person from a Rolex dealer or a reputable jeweler. They have a team of experienced, Rolex-certified watchmakers who authenticate every watch prio...r to sale. Because of that, I was assured (as you should be) of 100% authenticity in all parts - this is not a “Frankenstein” watch.
My reason for selling is simple: I recently got a Submariner that gets more wrist time than this Date. I love this watch and would otherwise wear it every day. I just prefer the 40mm case size of the Submariner to the 34mm size of this Date. It is in the same great condition as when I bought it from C&C.
Things to note: I do not guarantee water resistance, simply due to the age. I believe it is still able to be water resistant, but don’t want that to be an implied guarantee.C&C placed the manufacture date at 1975 based on the serial number. This watch is also special in that it features a “sigma dial.” This involves the indices on the dial being made of gold (evidenced by the sigma symbol on either side of the small “T Swiss T” marking under 6 o’clock).

I’ll pay for shipping to you, and only within the US. I am not an eBay store owner, but I have sold successfully on eBay for 12+ years with only positive feedback. And not just little knickknacks to build up my feedback rating...I have sold higher-end items before (a Tag Heuer Carrera, several years ago; a couple of Apple laptops over the years; etc.) with no issues. So, purchase with confidence. Glad to answer any questions. Thanks.
