This is a precious doll that was "hand made with love" by Wendy Turner. She is tagged "Olde Rag Doll 1822".She is 23" of perfection and beauty. Constructed out of osanburg muslin she has been aged, stained, and sewn with love...you can see it in every stitch !Every feature on her face has been hand stitched. Her hair is bright red, very soft, thinned wool. Her legs have been painted Raggedy Ann red stripes and her black slipper shoes have been hand painted as we...ll and features straps with "pearl button closures".Annies dress features a collar and puffy short sleeves and is made entirely out of an antique quilt that was once red, white, and blue. It has been aged and stained and filled with holes....some by hand, some by time. Three (3) vintage buttons have been hand tied to the front.Her bloomers are made from vintage lace ( perhaps curtains at one time ? ). They have been aged and then stiffened somewhat to hold their shape...just gorgeous !!!She will come to you holding a 7" stuffed heart made out of a very old quilt that has, of course, been aged and stained. Its adorned with a rusty jingle bell and has been hand stitched to read: "KINDNESS MATTERS".She can easily sit on her own or there has been a rusty wire hanger on the back should you want to hang her.You will never see another doll like this one...make her yours !!!Please look at pictures as they are part of the description.
