Vintage Zenith Port Royal. Condition is Pre-owned.
This unusual and stylish watch is in incredible near new old stock condition. It measures about 45mm across and 41mm from lug to lug. Lug width is 22mm. It’s a big watch by vintage standards but wears more like a dress watch because if its unusual proportions. Year of production is approximately 1974/75. This gray dialed variant is somewhat rarer than the more common blue dial. These watches were not mass market items and sold mai...nly in European markets. They are uncommon in the US, particularly in this condition. The automatic movement is keeping good time. Date wheel and Portuguese day wheel are each quickset and work as they should. Service history is unknown. Condition is outstanding and appears to be unpolished. The case back has the original protective film still applied. When I acquired the watch this film was still present on the case flanks, but I removed it carefully to view the beautifully brushed surfaces. The bevels on this watch are unbelievable - like nothing else you can find today at this price range. Original strap and Zenith signed buckle included. This original strap is in excellent condition. Will also include the custom blue Saffiano style strap shown. If you’re a fan of unusual, off the beaten path vintage watches, this is for you. You’re just not likely to see this watch on another wrist and it’s a beautiful example of mid 70s watch design.
