Huge 17-18" Antique German Bisque Kestner Doll Head with Issues
This huge antique German doll head was made by Kestner and measures 17-18" in circumference. The head has two upper teeth and the glass eyes have been set, it also has brush stoke painted hair. It is marked, "142/15". The h...ead must have been damaged at some time in its life and repaired. Look at the pictures showing the right side of the dolls head, this is where most of the damage is. The left side of the face near the side of the mouth, is a crack, hairline that runs toward the back of the head and I also see, near the neck socket opening some chips in the bisque. I hope that someone can restore this doll head or if they are not overly concerned with the condition, it could be used as-is on a large doll body.
