Up for auction is a very nice vintage Rolex Air King ref 5500 complete case, dial, and hand set. The 34 mm stainless steel case is in good condition for it's age showing light scratches and some dings but no significant damage. The signed Rolex crown screws on and off smoothly as it should. The stainless steel oyster case back screws on and off as it should. The case back has been engraved with the name and address of a previous owner. Width between the lu...gs measures 19 mm. The silver dial with stick markers has a great patina as well as a few light scratches. The silver alpha hour and minute hands are in great condition with beautiful patina matching the dial as is the blued seconds hand. The acrylic crystal has no chips or cracks. Serial number between the 6 o'clock lugs of 418009 puts the date of production to the late 1950's. Case is designed around the Rolex cal. 1530. Movement is not included with this case, dial, and hands.
