This offering is for a pair of early glass salt & pepper shakers with the distinctive fleur-de-lis or fleur-de-lys pattern that repeats three times around the body of the shaker. Resembles a lily flower or iris. They are a matching pair in two different colors. Exact age and country of origin is unknown. Possibly New England or maybe Lancaster Glassworks. If not my second guess would be France.
The white glass example has three color painted flowers between the repeating e...mbossments. Crude screw threads on the mouths with rough mouths concealed by the screw on metal shaker tops. Smooth bases. They are complete as shown with the correct fitting metal tops. The one with the smaller holes is a bit crushed. I have not tried to bump out the pushed in metal.
No cracks or chips in the glass. I have probably had these for twenty years or so. Nine pictures.
