MARKINGS: The head plate is marked: Built by ABU Sweden. Tail plate marked: Ball Bearing. Tail plate has the silver color Swedish seal missing in action! Head plate rim: ABU GARCIA PRODUCT OF SWEDEN. Tail plate... rim: ABU GARCIA AMBASSADEUR 5500-C. The foot plate is stamped: 850100. The exact age is unknown. REEL CONDITION: ...Sold as found...This reel WORKS AS DESIGNED and is mechanically sound having all parts fully inspected! GENERAL use is noted! Plates 2-1/2" in diameter. The pillars are 1-1/2" wide. SWEDISH SEAL MISSING FROM THE TAIL PLATE!!! NO serious scratches or nicks. Fingeernail scratch on head plate near screw on left side. The head plate rim has some light scratching over the end of the markings. The scratch is at the beginning of the name Abu Garcia. The level-wind travels back and forth as designed.
