MOVEMENT:
Original signed GUB cal.60... high quality 15 jewel, wind up mechanical, Germany Glashutte.
Collection original condition. Clean, great keeps time.
CASE:
Chromed, stainless steel back cover case, signed 47457 boden edelstahl..
DIAL:
Original condition dial. Signed GUB....
SIZE:
35.5 mm (not counting the crown), 42.5 mm long (lugs to lugs).
BAND:
new, nylon 18 mm....r>

The watch has been serviced, checked and calibrated by watchmaker and is in good running condition. This unique watch was kept till our time in good condition. Any defects not mentioned but visible in the pictures will be considered as described. Photos are of the actual watch.

The Glashutter Uhrenbetriebe (GUB) was formed in 1951 as a fusion of a number of nationalised watch, clock and instrument companies from in and around Glashutte, near the Czech border south of Dresden. As with other state-owned conglomerates in East Germany, the Glashutter Uhrenbetrieb was a "Volkseigene Betrieb" (VEB) which translates more or less a "People's Company".
The companies combined into GUB included VEB Mechanik Lange & Sohne (which was the nationalised A. Lange & Sohne) and VEB Messtechnik (which was the nationalised Muhle & Sohn).
After the market introduction of the caliber 60.1 with an indirect central second, this caliber was also used to manufacture a quality maneuver with the quality mark Q in fine perfection. In addition to the quality gauges calibers 28, 28.1 and 60.2, from the middle of the 1950s onwards, the fourth generation of Glashütter watchmaking equipment was available with the caliber 60.3.e.
