You are bidding on a wonderful VINTAGE HAMPDEN railroad grade hunter's case pocket watch, circa 1800'S. This is a 23-jewel 18-size watch, and measures approximately 2 1/4" in diameter. This watch features a 14k gold filled ornate case, a 23-jewel stem-wind movement, and a white dial with black numerals, blue steel hands, and a subsidiary seconds hand at the 6 o'clock position. The case is in excellent condition. Watch comes with a gold filled 13" chain ...& fob. This is a recent estate find and has not been used in over 50 years. When wound it runs but stops sporadically. A cleaning will remedy this. The dial is in excellent original condition. Overall, a gorgeous watch that will be a wonderful gift to a person who appreciates fine timepieces.
