Offered is anoverall excellent condition, just serviced last week, gorgeous 1895 Elgin, 15 Jewel, 18s, Model 3, Pocket Watch in Hunting Case configuration. It has a lever setting. The balance wheel moves along nicely and smoothly! It ismounted in a nice solid swing out style Crescent Watch Case Company, Brooklyn, NY nickel-silver watch case with normalwear consistent with age which was only cleaned by hand to leave the nice agedpatina and su...rface character. Amazingly, little wear was found onthe parts. In fact, the parts look like they were made yesterday! Thesewatches were made in the U.S. by hand by skilled craftsmen during a sadlyvery long gone era and are truly works of art! The movement was completely disassembled, allparts inspected which are excellent, cleaned, oiled, reassembled, and tested. The dial, or face, has several hairlines and edge chips that are not really noticeable under the glass cover. However, pleasekeep in mind that these watches are well over 100 years old and should behandled with care. They are definitely not shock proof! Also, a change of location mayrequire a slight adjustment of the regulator. But, this is all just part of the nostalgia of owning a mechanical watch.
