A World War I British Metropolitan (Police) Special Constabulary Long Service 1914 medal with suspender. The medal measures 1-1/4 inches in diameter and the suspender measures 1-3/8 inches in length. The suspender is maker's marked "J.R. Gaunt London" on the reverse and has a pin and catch for wear. This medal was established by King George V in 1919 and was awarded to member of the Special Constabulary for their service during WWI.
