This auction is for a 16MM film containing a complete episode of the weekly football TV show, “This Week In The NFL”, hosted and narrated by Pat Summerall. The show contained highlights of the various games from the previous week. This episode shows highlights of the following games: Cowboys vs Vikings, Giants vs 49ers, Redskins vs Cardinals, Eagles vs Bears, and Colts vs Browns.
You will see so many great players from that glorious era, including Johnny Unitas, Fran Tarkenton, ...Billy Kilmer, Sonny Jurgensen, Bill Munson, Bill Brown, Merlin Olsen and so many more.
Summerall’s closing is unique, as he goes off on a brief rant about how the Philadelphia media was being overly harsh in its criticism of the Eagles, who were having a terrible season.
This print also has all the original Haggar Slacks commercials !
The color picture has faded but still has a decent amount left (see actual screen shots). And the picture clarity is very good. The sound is strong, the film runs smoothly, and there is no vinegar smell. The film has all beginning titles and end credits. Total running time is approximately 27 minutes.
