Description: Pretty Antique Regency/ Early Victorian Large High Quality hand carved, Helmet Shell Cameo. Roman Goddess Flora. Shell shows some age related wear, bottom right corner has a slight discolored line, however it is not an external break. Very top has a clever old repair, with a golden crown added to frame covering a chip over the bezel, see pics.Frame is a gold gilt which does show some wear and denting/ patina. Seed and Fresh Water Pearl border is genuine. Som...e of the pearls have a bit of age related wear but overall very nice.Fully working C-Clasp and hinge along with safety loop at bottom.
This is a really detailed and beautifully carved large Cameo.
Measurements:(L) 2 1/8th (W) 1 1/2 inches approx.
