This wonderful, hand carved decoy duck has red eyes and has retained one of its original weights.There is damage to both the end of the beak and the tail. The decoy was obviously a well used piece and shows signs of being repainted by its owner many times.The wood has taken on lovely patina and depth of colour which only comes from years of use .The head is a separate piece from the body, presumably to be able to interchange to a different species. He has also added his initials to th...e base "F T".Both the eyes are intact and the body is free from any cracks or chips.It measures 36 cm (14 inches) long, by 29 cm (6 inches) and is 20 cm (8 1/2 inches).We take great care to describe our items clearly and honestly as possible, including any faults or flaws that we may see.
