For auction is a lovely quality Art Deco Vintage 1920's Solid Silver Gents Wrist Watch. The watch which is not working but i'm sure with a little TLC care and restoration would make a wonderful addition to a chaps attire when looked at by a competent watch restorer. The face is in wonderful condition and really evokes the period with the watch hands having that lovely petrol blue shimmer to them. The watch mechanics look in clean order but not working i wouldn't like to make any presum...ptions about it. The glass to the watch is in excellent condition. The watch strap appears to be original also but will of course need replacing. The marking on the back of the watch read 925 A5M a letter i (maybe a date letter) the other letter i'm afraid i cannot quite make out. The watch face measures 3.4 cm x 2 cm.The very nice blue leather box is also in good condition having a nice "click" to the box, there is also a nice slip of paper explaining that the watch was first prize in a dance competition for the waltz which conjures up a nice Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers image of maybe a couple dancing at the Ritz or Savoy to a dance band.Any questions please feel free to ask.
