SUBLIME ANTIQUE FRENCH PORCELAIN DE PARIS VASE with PUTTI CHERUBS C1900
This is a beautiful antique French Porcelain de Paris vase that dates from the late 1800s/ early 1900s. In that wonderful Paris pink the top and bottom edges have rich black borders with gilded diamonds and stripes. Each side has a different vignette of a putti or cherub one swathes a garland and holds a rose couronne and the other hold a ribbon swag. Both hav...e their gossamer wings splayed behind. The vase stands on three paw feet again in the rich black and gilt. There are no cracks or chips and the vase is all strong. Height 18.2cms Base diameter 9cms The base has tiny handpainted numbers and markings below the glaze. A beautiful confection for any vieille maison collection. All the items in my listings, unless described otherwise, are either vintage or antique. They have all had a 'past' life, a history to tell - and this inevitably affects their condition through use and handling. I do my best to make my descriptions as accurate as possible but please do not bid if you are looking for pristine items; you will not find them in my auctions!
