This set is absolutely superb, realistically soft painting( Weichmalerei ) , words cannot capture the beauty of this set the shading and anatomy of the painting makes the flowers look 3-D.
This set is very high- end quality and produced by Meissen between 1900 1910 the art nouveau period Each plate is decorated with Large summer floral bouquets, further compliment...ed it with beautifully colored butterflies, and a woven basket pattern at the border. And accented with a heavy gold rim
This set is over 100 years old but The entire set is in wonderful condition, I do believe it was only Displayed the entire time it has existed
This set measures about 9”diameter 2” hA single plate like this one does not take a day or week to finish but actually a month or more from start to finish. !!!
