Item History & Price
On 29-May-19 at 21:34:33 BST, seller added the following information:It appears that I have rather underestimated the interest in this watch. The watch is old, and runs when it is shaken. I do not have enough knowledge of the workings of it to guarantee how good the movement is. The case and glass are in well used and rough condition, but from other listings I have seen they appear to be acceptable. I obtained the watch for a very small amount, so I have decided to just let the auction run till the end as I am getting swamped with offers.
Happy bidding.
On 30-May-19 at 07:20:24 BST, seller added the following information:I have added some more photo's. Also I left the watch overnight and it was still running this morning and the date had changed automatically. The leather strap is stamped "Hirsch" and It also came with a blue plastic Seiko box (not sure if its the original box).On 30-May-19 at 13:00:21 BST, seller added the following information:Bidding has now exceeded all my expectations for this old watch. I cannot emphasise enough that the watch is sold as seen in the pictures. It runs, but will need to be completely overhauled and repaired by somebody who knows what they are doing. I will try to answer any questions as best I can and have been providing extra images when requested. I will not be taking the case back off again for pictures or working on the watch in anyway, so please do not ask.
It will be shipped with tracking and full insurance (Royal Mail or Fedex)On 31-May-19 at 07:22:42 BST, seller added the following information:I noticed that the strap is loose at one lug. On closer inspection and by removing the strap I noticed that one of the four lug holes is worn out and might need to be repaired. This is not visible until the strap is removed and is the only issue I can see on the case body. I have taken a picture which I can provide if requested.
On 02-Jun-19 at 09:48:39 BST, seller added the following information:Some answers to commonly asked questions.
The movement Hacks (Second hand stops when setting time). Both date and time can be set without problem. The Bezel is very stiff and has no play in it. Can be moved with some effort and has a solid 60 clicks. One spring bar lug hole is worn / damaged, but the strap cannot be pulled from the watch case, it is just loose at that lug.The watch runs very slow (looses time) around 10 - 15 minutes in 24 hours. Movement needs professional service.Every part of the watch apart from the strap and spring bars is completely original. I don't think it has ever been serviced.
