Antique Wooden Circus Wagon Pull Toy By The Gong Bell Mfg. Co.

This is an antique wooden circus wagon pull toy that features circus lions on all four sides. The all metal wheels make ringing circus bell sounds as you pull the toy. It is about 9" long, 6" wide, and 7.5" tall. The inside is textured and features silver stars (which are hard to see in the pictures). This toy shows average wear for an antique piece. The wheel says "The Gong Bell Mfg. Co., East Hampton, Conn., Made in the U.S.A." This toy was loved and a few smiley stickers were placed... on the one side (plus one inside), all likely removable. The Gong Bell Mfg. Co. was founded in the late 1800's in Connecticut and made quality wood and metal toys into the 1960's. I do not know the age of this hard to find piece, but I would guess it is circa 1950. Also, check out my other antique and vintage toys currently in my estate sale.
