An OUTSTANDINGLY BEAUTIFUL Piece with FABULOUS IRIDESCENCE, in RemarkableCondition!
The necklace will come in the Antique Victorian Boxin the photographs and would make a Delightful GIFT for Someone Special.
...-special-character:line-break">An exquisitelybeautiful, fine quality, iridescent Maireener shell necklace. Thedazzling tiny shells are natural and undyed – they glisten with the mostincredibly vibrant lustre, flashing emerald green and purple in thelight. It is difficult to capture their true beauty in the photographs –the necklace is Simply Breathtaking! Measuring 72.5" long, atover 6 feet - this is the longest one I have ever come across!! And in Remarkable Condition too, with no damage that I can find.
The Aboriginal communityhas always highly
valued the Maireener shell, also known as the Rainbow Kelp. Shellnecklaces were originally made as ceremonial adornments, tokens of honour, andfor trade with other tribes. The necklaces took many months ofpainstaking work to make.
There is no clasp – the necklacesimply goes over the head. It is strungon what I believe is the original string. The necklace will come in the beautiful Victorian maroon silk, glass topped box, in the photographs. Everything is ALLORIGINAL.
Measures approximately: 72.5" or184.5cm The shells measureapproximately: 8mm
