Blackford (Indiana) Mar 9 (NYD, but after July 1 1845 based on the 5 ct rate), neat manuscript cancel on folded letter (outer wrapper only without content) to clerk of Delaware County Indiana in Muncie.  Blackford was the name of the town from 1840-54, when it was changed to Hartford City.  The American Stampless Cover Catalog lists no known handstamps from here, and manuscripts are only listed from 1842-47.  This is an uncommon Indiana stampless cover in very fine c...ondition.

Shipping to Canada is $1.50 for 1-2 ounces. Shipping to other countries is usually $1.50 for one ounce, $2.50 for two ounces. Shipping charges increase if multiple items exceed 2 ounces in shipping weight. SHIPMENTS TO INTERNATIONAL LOCATIONS TOTALING $50.00 OR MORE WILL HAVE A REGISTRATION FEE OF $16.00 ADDED TO THE SHIPPING CHARGE. This is the actual cost charged us by the USPS.
