RARE NIPPON FLYING GEESE CREAMERThis superb hand-painted creamer (  part of a Tea Set ) in Nippon's classic and coveted "Flying Geese" pattern has the red and green "Hand Painted Made in Japan” Nippon mark number 73 - Paulownia flowers and leaves, reflecting a crest used by the Empress of Japan, early 1910's.  The mark appears on page 38 of The Collector's Encyclopedia of Nippon Porcelain by Joan F. Van Patten.

Design: This vintage Nippon is classicall...y designed, rich in exquisite detail and superbly crafted. It features a matte aqua background and four finely painted white geese in graceful flight. A bright and shiny band of raised gold - or moriage - encircles the center, highlighted with tiny turquoise and coral colored jewels.  The flowers bright in gold reflects from light beautifully.
Size: The Creamer is 5" wide  and 4” high
Condition: The Creameris  in good condition.  The gold has age appropriate wear.
