Offered for sale is a charger or large plate / platter that was manufactured, I believe, by the Royal Vienna Company of Bavaria, Germany. There are no markings on the back of the plate / charger but I have done my research and I believe that they are the manufacturers. You can believe me or not. Either way, this is a stunning charger or plate that measures 11 3/4 inches across. It is round and very Victorian in style. There is a red or pink and gold motif ...on the border with an interior scene of game: There is a large elk / deer with antlers and a smaller deer or doe. There are grass and trees in the background. The scene is very striking and this plate is in really good condition with no chips, no cracks, no discoloration... There is a line that goes across the body of the elk / deer w/ antlers - I don't know if it is part of the scene or is a mark made by someone. Please look carefully at the photos. If this is a flaw, and I'm not sure, it certainly blends in with the scene. This is quite a beautiful antique plate with some age to it and a stunning scene from nature.
