Offered is Gradencandler egg scale and candler made by Gradencandle Mfg. Co., Lynn, MA. Circa 1930. This is in overall very nice clean condition, it still has the original antique light bulb. Appears to be quite rare, and would make a beautiful display piece. Everything appears to be original, the green finish, egg rest for scale, cloth cord, plug, etc...It measures, main body is approx. 8" X 4 1/2" X 4" with the added 7 1/2" height of the scale component. Overall this is is in ve...ry nice, clean condition, showing normal signs of use, and age. The plastic scale lens has yellowed slightly, and is somewhat cloudy. The cord, and plug appear to be in very good condition, with some very light fraying of the cloth, and the plug is missing the cardboard safety cover. Only other mention is some rust on the bottom edge, back right corner, and the egg rest is showing signs of age, (see the last 2 photos). The scale moves freely, and works as it should, we didn't plug it in, for safety reasons, since it is missing the safety cover on the plug...We did test the bulb in another outlet, and it does spark, but never lit fully...The scale moves freely, and works as it should...I am selling this for display purposes, as I'm not sure it is fully functioning?
