Signed LCT Louis Comfort Tiffany FAVRILE Iridescent Aqua Pastel Fern Plate 8"Antique early Tiffany Studios (circa late 19th century) art glass plate. Flashed aqua blue/green with an opalescent optic pattern of laurel or fern leaves and lustred / iridescent interior. Stretched onion skin type rolled rim.
Polished pontil on the base and signed "1581 L. C. Tiffany - Favrile" (engraved script). Also the number 84-6-7 scratched above the signature. These numbers where believed to perhaps... be related to the distribution methods or inventory control.Condition: Minor self wear consistent with age. No cracks or hairlines. one scratch on the plate One very shallow chip and some surface scratches on the base by the pontil mark (as shown in the picture #7). No other chips. If there are any other minor flaws such as glass bubbles ect. they are natural from the making. Plates displays beautiful and is a true work of art. Comes as seen/is/made.
