C1950s Fratelli Toso Attrib Murano A Canne Striped Green & Lattimo Corset Vase

Mid Century Circa 1950s art glass vase attributed to Fratelli Toso from Murano Italy done in green and lattimo glass “a canne” technique (narrow canes of glass). The stripes are done masterfully, as evident in the pictures. The canne are placed close together on a metallic plate which is placed in the oven. When the temperature has melted them together they are removed from the oven and rotated at the base of the canne with a circular tool. Then the vase is closed and wo...rked. Excellent form with strong shoulders going to a nipped corset waist, and then to a flared base. This vase could be used to hold a small flower arrangement or as a display piece. Some sources claim this is by Gio Ponti for a Venini. My attributions come from another larger vase that has a Handmade Guildcraft Italy label which was a known import or export company of Fratelli Toso. The vase is 11" tall and the opening is 1-1/2" in diameter and is in excellent mid century condition free of any chips, cracks, or repairs. It will be well packed and shipped fully insured.
