5 Yards of Vintage Crimson Silk Velvet Fabric
Two pieces of yardage measuring 2 1/2 yards each X 37” wide. Wonderful slinky, shimmery, drapey, lustrous vintage fabric. The color on the surface changes various shades of crimson as the angle of the light changes on the nap. It is not one solid flat color. Maybe you’d call it crushed. It is very see-thru and airy. It has a 3/4" selvage on both sides with two light parallel lines running thru it. Please see photos. This fabric has b...een stored for many years. It has some streaky discoloration on the back of the fabric. Not sure what caused it. There are a few pin holes and a 3 cornered tear near the cut end of one piece. Please see photos. The fabric is sound, not weak or disintegrating and no bad odors.
