Weare pleased to offer this lovely reverse painting on glass of aFrench peasant woman. It is titled “Le Printemps” which is theFrench word for “Spring.” We think it dates to the last half ofthe 19th c. It is in good age related condition withminimal paint loss. The detail on the paint is excellent and herlittle face is beautifully done. She is holding a basket of flowerswhile she holds a floral wreath in the other. We believe the frame isoriginal as the glass is bubbly an...d sagging (last photo). A new paper backing hasbeen added somewhere along the way. We think you will love her.
