Antique Vellum Sheet Music Antiphonary Gregorian Devotional Chant 2 sided Hand painted Old. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
This is an incredible piece of Catholic Religious history. I have some provenance about this piece for the buyer who purchases it, if interested. Told to me by the previous owner who has an intimate story. Does not add anything to the value.
I am guessing this is a few hundred years old. Latin text. Measures 18 3/4 X 13 1/2... inches. 5 splits or tears at frame edges.2 very small holes in the body of the piece. I would be happy to take more photos and send them via email. It is a solid piece.The vellum is double sided sheet music - one piece of vellum. Six rolls (lines) of music. Can visibly see which edge was inserted in the binding of the large book. Can see a grooved indention 3 1/2 inches down from top left corner for ease of page access.Patina of vellum has age with incredibly attractive coloring. Unframed.
