South Bend Bass-Oreno: Series 473 lure measures 3 3/4", weighs 3/4 oz, and has tac eyes. Body color appears to be the luminous option. All my research indicates this lure was produced from the mid 1930's to the early 1950's.
Body paint shows little to no crazing or chipping except the leading edge of the front lip. There is some dark discoloration that shows accurately in the photos, worse case port side rear.
Paint on the eyes is still good. Hooks are s...till sharp and appear original.
The only negative I can find is the lack of print on the back just rear of the eyes. It should read "SOUTH BEND BASS-ORENO". Actually the lettering is still there but you need a magnifying glass and just the right light angle to see it.
