Handmade in California. Annieglass isdurable, dishwasher safe, and chip-resistant (not recommended for oven ormicrowave use). Colors and textures will vary due to the handmade process. Toensure authenticity, every piece is hand-engraved with the studio signature.The gold rim will not chip or wear off because it is permanently fused into theglass during the kiln process, during which the glass drapes over handmadeceramic molds. The 24k gold reveals the artisans’ individual brush strokes, aswell as a slightly distressed appearance from the organic materials’ movementduring kiln fire. These effects are by no means a defect, but rather areintentionally crafted into every unique Annieglass piece to celebrate theJapanese philosophy of wabi-sabi—in which asymmetry and “imperfection” enhancebeauty.My shipping price includes my actual postage cost as well aspacking/handling cost (bubble wrap, boxes, tape, envelopes, etc.) withtransportation to post office and my time.
