This is a great old St. Louis district 1928 note that is very hard to find. 1928 notes are printed with a more bold front plate and are outstanding rarities. The redeemable in gold clause shows that this note was BACKED BY GOLD. If it were still possible to turn this in for gold, such as $20 US gold pieces at melt value...
