For sale here is an uncut sheet of $50 and $100 banknotes that were printed (and never issued) for The City Trust and Banking Company of New York, NY. it is very nice condition with minor folds from mishandling but no stains or damage to the paper, which is very thin and fragile. This Durand & Company Remainder features a beautifully engravedriver god at top center. The left end is similar to the $50 with a cameo profile at the center; the right end panel showsstalks of corn ...with a cow's head in a circle. It is catalogued as Haxby 1525-G20. I am not expert in obsolete currency from a place like New York city but I think this item is quite rare and would be prized by a collector specializing in the early financial history of the city. This uncut sheet of remainders is for sale without reserve.
