An antique Northwood Cranberry Art Glass Lilly of the Valley Pitcher 12 1/4" tall by 6 1/2" at the widest. Made in the 1890's , the pitcher features a gold highlighted ruffled rim and a cranberry glass body including an approximate 2 1/2” area above the base that is frosted in the same color. It is hand-painted on the front with large lily of the valley flowers in pink and lavender and leaves in gold and green and has a simple leaf design on the back. It has a clear applied handle. I...t is in good condition with no chips, cracks, or breaks but small areas of the gold around the top of the pitcher and on the leaves is faded or worn.The hand painted Lily of the Valley is still in beautiful condition except for the top green color on one small area on a leaf is pushed back to reveal the lighter green coat. It might be original to the piece. Additionally, the frosted coating shows wear on the bottom of the vase as seen in the photos.
