ANTIQUE c1880 FRENCH REGENCE WOOD CHESS SET with fine carved knights. All is in very good complete original condition. In natural boxwood & st...ained black pieces. To note are particularly nicely carved knights, quite detailed. Of the type of design that appeared on the earlier Regence chess sets, where the bishops have two segments cut out on the top flanges. Comes in its original mahogany box. The kings are 3 5/8 inches high, pawns about 2 inches high.
