Long length of handmade Mechlin bobbin lace with design typical of mid 1700s. Background mesh is five-hole rather than the typical braid and twist mesh, gimp outline of motifs suggests Mechlin. fancy fillings along the bottom edge.
Very good condition overall. Clean, ecru. About 2 yards long, About 2 in. wide, not including engrelure along the top edge.
