This listing is for a complete set of eight original lobby cards from the 1960 Disney movie, "The sign of Zoro".
This set of cards was recently graded VF-8 by an independent auction house using the CGC grading scale for lobby cards. VF-8 is defined as: "An attractive collectible with a moderate defect or an accumulation of small defects.". Some cards are definitely better than others. Cards 1, 2, 7, and 8 are in superior condition.
Here I will list the condition of each card to t...he best of my ability. I am not a lobby card expert. The studio typically numbers the cards 1-8 on the front. In this case, the numbers are in the middle of the bottom border.
Title Card (#1)Small pin hole top middle. Bottom left corner has a small crease in the white border. A visually pleasing card in great shape.
Card #2No pin-holes, no creases, slight ink smudge perhaps from printing in the lower left corner. A near mint card in surprisingly good condition
Card #3This card is in the worst shape. Repaired tear at the top. Staple holes on all four corners. Top was stapled multiple times. Water stain top right.
Card #4Pin holes all four corners and in middle of left/right sides. small and slight discoloration lower right corner. slight/subtle wrinkle in paper behind actor's head. Wrinkle may originate from manufacturing process
Card #5Small pin-hole top middle. right hand border has border has crease. very small tear on same crease
Card #6Multiple staple holes in the corners. Some staple holes in image corners. Slight image scratches on the right most character in the scene. Slight ink line on the right most character's face.
Card #7No pin holes. No major defects spotted. A visually pleasing card in great shape
Card #8 No major defects spotted. very small blue ink run from production in the border. A visually pleasing card in great shape.
