Up for your consideration is this c.1940 SHAKESPEARE "WONDEREEL" No 1920 LEVEL-WIND BAIT CASTING REEL Model GA. This auction includes the Shakespeare Wondereel No. 1920 Bait Casting Reel carefully packaged for the winner.
MARKINGS: The reel is marked: Shakespeare Wondereel 1920 Model GA. The foot plate is stamped: Made in U.S.A. Patented. The Model code of GA indicates the reel was made in 1940. REEL CONDITION: .....T...his reel WORKS AS DESIGNED having all parts fully inspected! Plates 2-3/8" dia. Pillars 1-3/4" wide. Sold as found. Everything works well! Very clean reel with some but minimal soiling. Both plate have the general use marks, scratches, nicks etc. The clicker works and sounds strong. The line-guide travels back and forth as designed. The handle and handle knobs are in good used condition. NO serious damage found in our opinion other than normal general use. NO deep scratches or nicks! Great Shakespeare history with this auction!
